To check for a video capture card

  1. Point to Settings on the Start menu and choose Control Panel.

    The Control Panel is displayed.

  2. Double click the Multimedia icon.

    The Multimedia control panel is display.

  3. If you are using Window 95, click the Advanced tab.

    Or, if you are using Windows NT or Windows 98, click the Devices tab.

  4. In the Multimedia Devices list, expand Video Capture Devices.

    Any video capture cards that you have installed will be listed here. If no cards are listed, you do not have a video capture card installed on your computer.
